Old WYIOCer in a bad way
Well... He's on the road to recovery now, but I've just had a long chat with Chris (Harryboy) and he's been through the wars a little.
Whilst out on a cycle ride a few weeks back Chris had the misfortune of having some numpty in a (yep, you guessed) BMW doing an illegal u-turn right in front of him, and as a consequence he ploughed into the side of said pillock-chariot.
He sustained head injuries (He was wearing a helmet, which broke in two from the impact), 3 breaks to his arm and a fractured vertebrae in his neck.
After a couple of weeks in hospital, including some time in intensive care, he returned home on Saturday. He's on the mend, but his arm's still in a cast, and his brain won't come out of second gear just yet.
I'm sure you'll all want to join me in wishing Chris the speediest and fullest of recoveries.
Get well soon mate

Chris... get well soon son.
I know we haven't seen you for a while, but 'Old Leatherpickers' don't fade away... hope you're on the mend soon mate.
Not sure if you've seen but we're on our way back over your neck of the woods, so don't be a stranger.... In fact, we'll have to pop in and see you and perk you up

Chris initially shocked, but so happy to hear your on the mend mate.
Make sure the curtains are drawn when Alan comes to perk you up, I have witnessed this act, and albeit, not the most discraceful thing I have seen, it does haunt me to this day, just thinking of your neighbours mate
Take it easy and I wish you a speedy and full recovery.

From: If you rev it, they will come!
After everything Sticky said about you crashing when you were off road, now you've gone and done it on road too, he's not gonna let you forget this one anytime soon Chris
Hope you have a speedy recovery and that you receive a nice big cheque from the BMW drivers insurance company too

Get well soon Chris.... long time no see, but we often wonder how you are. Hopefully you'll be able to come to E.O.M's once you are on the mend, now we are moving back over your way Even if me or Alan have to pick you up, until you're fit and well. Keep in touch, will be glad to see you again
