I haven't seen the post, but the owners, Simon & Shaun are liable for any issues arising from inflammatory posts etc... so they've set the bar reasonably high...

But I'd agree that there are some humorless people on here....

 

Andy i'll help you out here... You have indeed received 2 infractions..You have 2 points, they are the lowest infractions that can be given out. These infractions are for trolling... One on the Evo Mong Thread and one from the halal meat thread.

If you feel that these are unjustified then please post in policy https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-policy-336/ Please entitle your thread UNJUSTIFIED INFRACTION and post the links to where the infractions are... https://www.scoobynet.com/dross-foru...ml#post7408201 AND https://www.scoobynet.com/hutch-8/64...ml#post7408180 this makes it easier for Simon to sort.

Be careful if you continue to accumulate infractions then it results in automatic ban and these can be VERY difficult to reverse.

If you go into your profile its shows you where you got the infractions and explains the reasons'ish

 

Different infractions carry different points.... If you get a ban then it is extremely difficult to get it reversed and you have to have a very good case

Claire, I told Andy all of this last night on MSN. I know everyone carries an opinion on every subject, its not the content of of what he was saying but the way in which he posted it.

 

yes i did post to find out why. like someone said, its states in my profile why they were given out, so i posted the unjustified infractions to find out the exact reason..... its still no reason for the wankor to hand out another just for asking is it.

rich.. its got nowt to do with what i wrote in the threads to get the infractions, its the fact that i ask the webmaster why i got em, and in reply he handed another out to me for wasting his time... WASTING HIS TIME?.... what sort of bull**** is all that about..

i dunt care scott. i've always been taught that if you dont understand, ask! in doing so they are punishing me... and like is aid to the webby... is it easier for em to press the infraction button rather than explaining to someone why the infraction was given out... it says its because i wasted their time in asking... what a load of crap

 

This is why people have to get used to you and you to them.

It is in the rules that infractions are given out for, as they say wasting their time.

The reasons you were given the infractions is for "trolling" which means a post made to deliberately insult another member OR posted with no constructive relevance to the thread.

The contributors to that thread obviously felt that it was trolling and to be fair, it does appear to be, regardless of whether it was intended for a joke or not. Remember not everybody knows you on Scoobynet as you don't know them.

Andy, SN has over 70,000 members, how many of those accounts do you think are made by people just to ster up trouble. The admin have put the rules in place regarding "wasting their time" because there are alot of regular members on here that just post things to get peoples backs up and then post in the policies section just to create hassle, its funny in their own little world.

I can simpathise with both sides (Admin and yourself)

 

who in their right mind is gonna pay to join, just to stir up trouble, then get banned and lose their money... i know what your saying rich, and i do still think part of the system is ****e.

i aint a trouble causer.... i paid to join cos i got a scoob, like everyone else, and enjoy sharing my thoughts.. like i said to the webby, i accept my 2 infractions for the posts (even tho someone put up a thread where they knew they were gonna get slated.) (do they do it on purpose or are they just thick).. the one i arnt happy with is the one for wasting time.... thats not on at all.

You just have to tread carefully round some people.. you'll get to know which ones... sometimes it is more entertaining to just watch

Nobodys calling you a trouble maker... you just got caught up in a thread where you put your opinion forward and it got taken wrong ... whereby if the same thread had been in here with people that know you who knows .. they would of known how to take you because they know you.

i'm wound up now claire... i asked the webmaster to give me a personal explanation, a more detailed reason as to why i got em, and that i was NOT contesting them... i now have some tosser twisting things...

this is exactly what happens and how the threads turn nasty.

Don't take it personally... These infractions will only become an issue if you get a few more.. that's unliekly as you aren't a trouble maker... Just be wary of some people.. I've had a few myself.. probably part of learning SNET and the people.. some dole them out for the most petty thing.. others are done with care and attention to the rules..

Take it on the chin mate and don't let it bother you...

Remember there are all sorts of personalities/ages/genders/ etc on snet and in a community which is what SNET is there are always going to be people who dont get on.

Treat this as a learning curve.. we've all had them trust me... whether it be here or on other forums... GIAS has learnt never to accept webcams from members of forums
