water spray

Default water spray

The water bottle for my water spray looks a funny colour, not clear.Is it normal water in there or mixed with anything like antifreeze .If it doent have antifreeze in then what stops it freezing when its cold????
any ideas

Just normal water but yes u can put anti-freeze in,just make sure it's a weak mix...

Put screenwash in there. Standard practice, as it contains alcohol, which evaporates quicker than water, therefore giving a greater cooling effect.

will i put in the same strength screen wash as for windscreens or make it weaker??

It stands to reason that the neater the alcohol the better the cooling effect, so less dilution should give better results.

However, when Dazza had some fancy gizmo linked into his STi to show inlet temps, liberal use of the water spray made absolutely diddly-squat difference!

Given the temperatures involved and how volatile alcohol can be, neat may not be the cleverest idea

Completely agree, a flamer kit is supposed to be fitted to the rear of the car, not the front.
