Default New Venue - Venue Visit & Decision..... Sunday 9th December From 4pm

After some discussion at the EOM, we've settled on the Sunday 9th.

The plan will be to visit the following pubs that received the most votes:

To be visited

The Ship Inn - Mirfield
Hare and Hound - Lilly Lane Kirkheaton
Rhubarb triangle - Wakefield
The Post Office

The Plan:

We will meet at the First Pub The Rhubarb Triangle at 4pm. (M1 Southbound to J41. A650 to Wakefield. Last but one roundabout before the Leeds Rd turn, the Pub is on the right opposite a Burger King...)

Here we will have a drink and discussion about the pro's an cons of holding our regular EOM there... After a swift one or two and a chat, we'll move on to the next... and do it again..

Things to take into account will be:
  • Must have a good sized accessible car park where we can park all together
  • Accept kids after 9
  • Do reasonably priced food & beer with a good selection
  • Have a decent (camera free) drive in and out and can be accessible from the Motorway if people (or the SMACS lot) wish to make a quick jaunt in...
  • Be welcoming to a club and able to serve a large 30+ group on the last Thursday of the month
At some point we'll decide to have a bite to eat...

We'll take each in turn and at the last pub (whatever that is as there's no point putting the route up here....) we'll have a vote and decision on the best one... Once decided, the January EOM and beyond will be held there...

Please make the effort to attend if you wish to be part of the decision making process... otherwise you'll 'have to go with the flow'....

Can you pop your name down so we have an idea of the size of the convoy.. This wont be a fast drive out, so may wish to passenger so you can take advantage of the beer...

Should be a good day

COME ON EVERYONE GET YOUR NAMES DOWN THIS IS A CLUB DECISION

As we all know this is a family club and a family event to look at possible new venues. Plus it is an excuse to take the family out with friends to have a laugh, a bit of banter, drink or too and maybe a STEAK
This will be a good laugh and maybe even benefit OUR
Club and we need all members to have a choice and put their views forward.

I had a Corsa rental last week I didn't think it would be possible for them to make a new car anywhere near as bad as the old one was but OMFG was I wrong. The steering column was made of bungee, the clutch was 2 slices of white bread with liberal coatings of jam and they had forgotten to put an engine in it. One client managed to stop the car and apply the handbrake without pressing the clutch in and it kept running. If you put your foot down in 2nd there was an irritating noise from the engine as the revs slowly rose, but you didn't go any quicker. What it did was spin up the clutch and leave you with a smell like burning rotten fish. Once again I found myself loathing it just as I did the last one I had, and spent the whole two days trying to kill it. I had it bouncing off the limiter in 2nd with my left foot on the brake to keep the clutch spinning Truly awful POS, and it only had 26 miles on the clock when they delivered it The people who buy these either have low expectations in life or are stupid beyond belief
