Took scoob out today after fitting dump valve and the speedo has packed in at one point i was sat at the lights doing 180mph. When i am driving it down the road its bouncing all over the place and then when i am sat stood with the engine running and rev the thing it goes up with the rev counter any ideas is it the sensor and if so is it on the gear box...Bri.

 

mine did that before the alternator packed in

so what was it

 

The earth wire on top of the inlet manifold had came loose so the clock was earthing through the rev counter sending it wild..so if anybody has a faulty speedo check earth wires on the manifold thats if its an electronic speedo..
