Default sunscreen measurement

i have just purchased a screen top for the front and back and when they arrived they were not cut to the size of the window, so all i have is 2 rectangles than need the size of the screen cutting out of them, does anybody have the legal measurements as i dont want them to be too big, i also don't want to make a mess of it by cutting them too small, the car is a bugeye on an 02 plate, i have tried offering them up to the window but had no joy , so now i'm stuck, thanks

Legally, the maximum depfth is about 1", as it must not fall within the sweep of the wipers. An arsey MOT station will fail the car on a sunstrip, so if you're wanting to keep within the law then don't fit one.

There's no set depth for anything, just do it to whatever you feel comfortable with, bearing in mind that you'll have to lean forwards to see traffic lights clearly if you're close to them. One other thing around this time of year, don't use a hard scraper to remove ice from your windscreen as it will rip the crap out of the vinyl.
