Default Valeting

As I've spoken to a few people about it who seem interested, I'm starting doing valeting again, including machine polishing if required.

Its £40 for the valet
This includes: Degrease, hand wash with a wool mitt (two bucket method, no sponge), rinse, wax or polish, wheels cleaned, tyre shine, glass cleaned, vacuumed, interior cleaned.

Its £60 for all of the above + a machine polish. (This takes several hours so make sure the car is available)

Any extras such as engine bay cleaning or claybar can be done as well at extra cost.

Please don't fill the thread with "I can get it done cheaper", "I'd rather do it myself" or "The immergrants only charge a tenner".

If you'd rather do it yourself then fine, if you "know a guy" who will do it cheap, great. If you'd rather let an immergrant do it thats up to you.

I only use the good stuff as the products I'll be using on your cars are the same as I use on my own car, Meguiars, Zymol etc And the price reflects that I will be using my own products for this which obviously has to be replenished and I come to you. The only thing I need from you is space, time, water supply and one electrical outlet for the vacuum.

Some people will no doubt think that this is cheap for what I'll be doing compared to others, well my explanation is I don't do it full time, its a weekend thing, but I don't mind working in the cold (though would like to avoid this while waxing). I would like to clarify that I am serious about this, I'm doing BRI STI and Mandy's cars on saturday, I'll get some pictures of theres when done.

For now, heres some pics of mine during its last full valet:

Some of the stuff I use...

This was after the result of a clay bar session

Close up of the paint - click on the pics for a better view.

End result...

In the summer I will try to extend it to working weekdays as well. If your interested, PM me to arrange a date and time. Any car welcome.

Hi All, Alan Dave and Andy - No probs, just let me know when it is best for you and I'll make arrangements to come and do it. I usually spend around 6 to 8 hours depending on how bad the car is. Mine took 8 hours just to get the body work good enough to take pics of.

Andy, its a light rubbering compound, I had something similar on my car before the machine polish, after a good session it had gone.

Alan, yeah I'm still gonna do the DVD stuff as well but I need the trackdays so I can get the footage. There has already been some runs out I know, I missed them due to finances. Hopefully I'll be able to get to some of them.

If Simon can do me a copy of the Bowling from Becca's birthday I'll add that too.

Yep, three cars

No I don't mind an audience at all, if it means people get to see the results first hand and are impressed then I'm happy for them to come. The gazebo is out of action after a strong wind carried it up the street and broke the frame. I'll be buying another for the shows at some point. I'll be turning up about 9.30am and yes I'll be there pretty much most of the day.

If so, I'll pass on your details...

Hi, Rich.

What I need doing is the interior; a really deep, first-class fettling. Upholstery and carpets shampooed, the works. Can you do that? I've been using the car for my joinery business for a year so everything is horribly stained and marked. I've now got a little van so when this gets done the car will only be used for pleasure at weekends. Are you up for it?
