AET + 3 Door RS = 280bhp
I was going to wait till I get the dyno graphs before posting this thread, but well what can I say, I needed to share.
As you all know I took a year out from Impreza ownership, and after spending the year thinking about what I needed in my life, I came to the decision to buy a car that I dreamed of owning back in the late 80's
After some persuasion from Jackie to get off my backside and just do it, I bought my dream car a 1987 3 Door Sierra RS Cosworth, yes it was a little rough around the edges, well to be honest only just drove and would not stop.
It needed brakes, suspension, hoses, pipes, tyres, tuning, and so many more small things, and when I say needed I really mean needed.
When I bought the car Andy Taylor (AET) made the great offer to use his facility to restore the car, I can’t thank Andy enough for this although I will try. I intended to do all restoration all by myself at home
It soon became apparent that I would not have actually been able to do the repairs to the car on a driveway at home, such was the state of the suspension and brakes, the car simply needed to be in the air.
I purchased and fitted new brakes all round including braded hoses, spax adjustable suspension, plugs, rota arm, bla, bla, the list goes on.
AET supplied all the equipment and all the parts needed on the Turbo tuning side, from silicone hoses, boost controller, stage 1 chip, diagnostics, and the dyno set up, not including the man hours Andy put in himself cutting rears springs out and fabricating stainless water pipes.
The car went on the Dyno mid January and produced a respectable 204bhp standard power after 20years not bad, just not lively enough for me so AET did what they do best and supplied a stage 1 chip and all the expertise.
The car went on the Dyno again today with a remapped stage one chip and boost controller, and well as you know by the title the car came in with a very respectable 280bhp all through an LSD and rear wheel drive.
So huge thanks to AET, Andy T, Ellie, and Andy Nicholls AET’s resident tuner and European fwd champion. Martin does not go on SN but must thank him for coffee’s food and company
November Proud owner the way Back from Bedford after the purchase
Day one AET
Up she Goes
Andy Taylor (AET) getting stuck in
Off they come
Ready to go on
Fabrication Andy's skill again.
On they Go
Down she comes
In she goes
And then 280bhp, and a sound to behold.
This has been a long road a lot of weekends, a fair bit of cost and a lot of help.
Quality speaks for itself, professionalism equally speaks for itself, but to get all this and a friendly service, well that is AET, and not just Andy and Ellie whom we all know, so many more people played their parts, and what’s more AET are on our doorstep!
For all you have done, I thank you sincerely I do
Please enjoy the pics and description, hopefully the start of a great journey

Aye I was there when it hit the magic number, Micks face lit up like a kid a christmas.
Micks said it all about AET, absolute legends
Sorry I didn't get to say Bye today and don't bother with the sand blasting Andy, I'm taking Andy N's advice so I'll pick up the head asap.

Mick. Exceptional words mate. I could feel the emotion and happiness pouring out. The beginning to end story gave me a real feeling of pride for the devotion you've shown and to the friends who've rallied round for you..
I agree with Paul that you've brought a real legend back to life and we'll be very proud to have it in the club and you driving with us again in a truly special motor.
The professionalism, work, commitment, friendship and simple love of Motorsport you've had from Andy, Ellie and the AET gang comes as no surprise to those who've seen all that come from them in spades. They really are an exceptional company.
I really can't wait to see it in the flesh. I'm sure it'll be a fine tribute to both you and and AET.....
PS.. In fact you could come around in it to pick up Jackie's stuff...

Thanks to all for your responses, as you can tell I am a little stoked to have got this far, with the help of AET.
The car will have to go through a running in process on it's first outing, so I have to try and keep my respect head on!
