Yes, we took them at the january eom last year. I was going to put a post up, but don't have any window stickers yet, so thought i'd get them sorted with sticky and take the subs at the Feb meet. Hopefully will have sorted the membership cards for then too you can pay then, or send me a cheque payable to the Wyioc

I've been a bit busy with work (promotion) and after getting flooded (again) so I've neglected my duties a tad...

However, subs are due in January...

There's a few folk who paid partway through the year (Ian, Mark, Andy etc..) so we'll need to see about them.

Would be nice to have the cards to issue at the time of parting with your subs.. as I know Si has been looking at a few proper plastic cards, it may be worth hanging on to see if we can get them done soon with Rich's or Stickies design(?)

If not; We'll have a sub night at the next EOM (Squires or The Ship) or simply send Si your cheque..

If you did pay at the back end of the year, we'll either look for a pro-rata payment now or we'll grab you at the 12 month point....

I think it should be broke down monthly throughout the year so people that are joining say in the middle only pay half or quarter you get my drift..

I do... hence the pro-rata for those joining at the end of the year. We did try and make subs payable only at 2 points in the year, but it didn't work.

But I agree that full subs should start Jan and anyone paying part way would only have to pay for the part of the year remaining... if you get my drift...

Love drifting All these points can be put forward at the annual meeting in feb so if anybody else has any ideas there can be put forward like rich has said he will pull the caravan to the shows with all the gear in so its not all left to sticky to sort out then it can be stored down in sheffield in a secure yard ready for the next one but these are just ideas to be put forward to everybody involved in the club that wants to take it forward ..

The costings for plastic cards aren't too bad, until you start adding in sequential numbering and signature strips, so they would perhaps be best left off. If you think about it, these aren't really important anyhow. What's the point of a signature on the card? It's not exactly going to be used for Vpower purchases.

Do we have a particular caravan in mind? And are there any pics of it? I have an idea

agreed sticky but think they do need to have members names, usernames and a member number on. Otherwise whats to stop a card been passed round. I for one don't know everyone in the club, not by face anyway. This also effects other things for the club in the same way, i'll explain what i mean at the EOM.

The caravan is Bri's so he'll have pics of it.

I've spoken to Lynds about pulling the caravan, she is fine with it so thats solved. The car to pull it with is something to be discussed with her dad as its his. I'm sure fuel contributions will sway his mind.

I think we need either the name on, or a number, so we know who's using the card. Don't think we need both / or the username on. As Sticky mentioned, prices are ok, til you start adding extra's to them.

Anyone have any preference on how they should look - Full colour print? Matt black card with pink lettering?

I'd like to get some ideas sorted in the next 7-10 days, so we can get them ordered so they will be ready for the Feb EOM, so we can hand them out as people pay subs

I think not having a name on them will leave them open to abusing the club benefits by non paid up members. I don't think we'll be able to come up with suitable solution on the forum, we ideally need a meeting before the EOM to discuss this and any other points people may want to suggest. Otherwise the cards won't get done or good ideas will be missed. I feel that the cards have a more important role for the club than whats realised.

Whats the breakdown of the cost me the cards?

If we know that, then maybe we can all decide whats important enough to have on the cards...

Think this is getting a bit involved for a forum discussion now, how about we have a quickie meeting at sometime?

I can make up some temporary membership cards for this years subs if necessary while we sort out the real cards. (I use these for NHS ID cards, they are colour printed backgrounds, written on with username etc and laminated in credit card pouches.)

easy peasy, i'm happy to chuck in any help for wyioc and i've got lots of experience organising things (its my job!!)

i dont think we need signature panels, but do agree that username/real name is a good idea, we also need to think about integrity for when a member pays one year and never again...how can we protect against these types using the club card forever!! do we have yearly cards? much like the window stickers?

Yes mate its my caravan i am giving it to the club if we can make use of it its in good condition and has cooker..fridge..microwave..sink ..bog..electric hook up and yes i have the cable about 30 foot of it and a bloody big awning..its on a site at the moment in eccup its a 4 birth just thought it would be a better and cheaper option than the van because it does not cost anything when we are not using it I will get some pictures of it when i can get a early finish when it is light..
