I don't use mine through the week only the weekends...a lot of people use them everyday but like as been said they are a bit of a money pit.love to just put mine in the garage and forget it till the weekend..saves load's of money as well..

i'm using the car as a workhorse.. i do all my running around in it, going to work and back, shopping etc.. notching 300 miles a week up. thing is, its 9 years old now. how much more will she take?? 1 option is to by a run a round, somet cheap and cheerful, then i can put the scoob in the garage.. thing is, if that happens, then when will i actually use it again? the running costs at the minute are copable... like i said, its 9 years old, and these repair bills are gonna get bigger...
might end up keeping it yet, just put it for sale just to see what response i get.. if i dont get any, then nothing is lost and i still have a car...

I use mine every day at work do about a thousand miles a week in it for five years the car as never broke down on me only time it goes wrong is at track-days or dragging it.
If you can park it up during the week and use a cheap run around for work you may be able to afford it mate.
Best of luck mate which ever you choose

think i'm gonna get rid of mine... over time, not in a rush... just bored of it aswell, which doesnt help... maybe looking to join the dark side and join the evo's! took out an evo 6 last week for a test drive, similar power to mine, same similar age, mileage etc, and the evo was fantastic! better in side, better looking, quicker.... so maybe thats another option!

EVO 6s are no where near the same power as a UK Impreza WRX, they are much more powerful but are much more thirsty and needed twice as much looking after.
Mine is used everyday as well, has been since I owned it and mine is 13 years old now, the only thing thats gone wrong with it was the radiator.

I love it when people play the "4500 mile service" card when having a go at Evos.
If you look after the Scoob well then you're gonna be doing at least an oil change every 5k or so anyway.
They are no worse on fuel than an Impreza (But no better either)
They hang the **** out on demand, and very controllably (Don't give a monkeys if it's computers and AYC doing the work, it makes you FEEL GREAT and we're not all driving Gods)
If you want one, go for it.

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
It might sound harsh but it's car or house surely ?
Keeping on top of an older property will hurt enough to stop any ideas of running an EVO, but that's just my opinion.
Good luck Stringo !
