ANYONE, even remotely involved in any friction between the two clubs will be banned. If you use a duplicate account, your main account will be banned.

This relates to a TINY number of people, who should wholeheartedly apologise to the vast majority of decent and enthusiastic members of both these clubs, but we're all bored and tired of it.

A number of people have been banned today already, and this will continue. You have been warned. Its time to just give it a rest.

Please GROW UP.

I do not think its appropriate or sensible to discuss all this by PM as it will create too many dispirate conversations all saying different things.

I am going to consider opening this up for public, out in the open discussion, in a very controlled way.

I appreciate the reasonable and sensible tone of your email, thank you. But I can't get into deep discussion about this on an individual basis right now.

You can tell its getting out of hand when even the most respected members and the most placid people like my husband are getting banned....

My opinion?

Some things have been heavily over-moderated, to the point where threads appear disjointed. Am I bothered? Nope.

Digs and pops have been made on numerous threads, some blatant, some sly and some downright cryptic. Am I bothered? Nope

Do I think it's pathetic? Well, TBH, I really don't give a monkeys. If the only way you can occupy your minds is by getting off at having a pop at others then you really need to take a look at your life and try to work out what's wrong.

AFAIK I don't think I have ever posted on the NYSOC forum, and have no intention of doing so. I do go in there for a read occasionally, hence the above observations.

We (WYIOC) have had our bad patches, our frictional moments, our awkward times, and we have come through them, much to the apparent annoyance of our neighbours.

Let's keep our own house (and caravan) in order and let anyone else either sort themselves out or self-destruct.

Mick has just been on the phone to let me know of the recent events.
To say that I am shocked is an understatement as his call was the very first indication to me of anything even remotely wrong (and I'm on here every night).

I've spent the last few minutes reading what's been written in a few threads and I can't for the life of me see where any mark has been overstepped so much as to result in permanantly banning people?

It probably transpires that posts have been deleted by Claire, which I find disapointing, so I am unable to see exactly what was said. This also has the effect of distorting the view that people reading the threads get.

Rest assurred that there's not been any deletion or moderation here. There's only been one or two cases last year when things were orders of magnitude worse.

Simon. I get a real sense that you have become very tired of the many PM's, Calls, MSN messages that you have been receiving and it is my considered opinion that you have therefore overreacted. You will recall your message to me last year when you stated that the WYIOC had been exemplarary in the conduct shown when things were far worse. You may also recall your comments regarding the need for moderate moderation.

Therefore I must argue most strongly that the banning of several WYIOC members only is both unjustified and unwarranted, considering the fact that nothing I have read even gets close to such radical action and that last year only one NYSOC member was temporarily banned. Like a referee would be expected to do, I would have appreciated some form of contact alerting me to this fact so that you could have got some action and explanation from me.

We have our EGM tonight to discuss other club matters and I'm sure most of the agenda will be taken over by this event. We will discuss this in full there (and not here where benign meanings can be misread, misunderstood and even distorted).

Can I ask that WYIOC members refrain from unduly commenting until we've discussed the issue tonight.

I haven't received a single phone call or text message. I've received a few PMs, and a few MSN messages, but only enough to inform me there is a problem, which I've now investigated.

I'm not overreacting at all. This is just my job.

If you are saying that we SHOULD allow people to cause friction between clubs, then you just need to find yourself a new environment, because that won't ever be supported here.

I suspect, on the other hand, that you don't think this, as you appear to be a reasonable man. So our action right now, is simply to enforce that.

Saying you are dissapointed that Claire has deleted posts and threads is a little bizzare when you also admit that you have no idea what they were.

This strikes me as very strange, and leads me to believe there is probably more to your post than meets the eye. Not that I want a big discussion about it or frankly really need to care about.

It is clear, and none of us are complete muppets here so there's no point kidding each other, that there has been some interclub friction. It hasn't all been caused by WYIOC, and it hasn't all been caused by NYSOC. But its stopping now.

Anyone who gets involved, perpetuates in any way, or causes any trouble surrounding this will be dealt with as we see fit.

Simply just enjoy your cars, clubs and friendly fun. That's what this is all about.

The rest, is unecessary, unhelpful, pointles, has stopped, and will remain stopped.

I'm locking this now, as there isn't anything to discuss surrounding this.

Don't cause friction. Don't perpetuate friction. Its simple, and reasonable.
