The caravan... Work in progress
Thnaks to everyone that came over to help today, espacially to Si for clearing out all the crap from the unit. Much appreciated
So here's how it's gone so far...
To start, here's a reminder of the mock-up for the far side...
Whilst the lads worked on the door side removing windows, locks and anything else that would make life a little easier, I got to work on the far side, starting with the bottom of three panels...
That bit on, then it was round to the door side to start there whilst the far side was being stripped...
with the three panels fitted to the door side we checked out the pie-and-peas potential. Looking good
"He's not the Messiah, he's just a very naughty boy!"
Back round to the far side, and some professional assistance arrives in the form of Mark and Adam from MD Evans (Pro sign installers )
Then further help from the Monkeydile (Australia's deadliest animal, aparrently)
Both sides done, it was time to crack on with the back. Working as fast as poassible to beat the fading daylight, it's almost done when Bri starts fitting the windows back in (Just the bottom panel to fit)
And here's how it's looking at the close of play for the day...
Door side
and for when the door's open (I'm very happy with the match)
Far side...
And finally, with the work done for the day, time to put the Pug to bed...
Can anyone smell burning rubber?

Barry... Foo pee mee laffing
Al... even funnier retort
Dave... The wheeltrims will be getting a scaled down version of a gold STi alloy print, and the windows can be done in micro-perforated (That stuff you see on buses that has a one-way vision effect, print on the outside but black on the inside with 1000's of little holes so you can see out) if the club funds can stretch to it (It aint the cheapest stuff in the vinyl world)
Thanks for the comments guys. Really couldn't have done it without the 'stripping' crew They were on fire

Andy, I meant the matching up when the door's open. Would have been cool in a 'sad design geek' kind of way to have the window and wheel as well as the car matching
PS, whilst you're online, HAVE YOU GOT ANY CARBON VINYL YET !!!! I only need a tiny bit for my B pillars Was going to resort to eBay or Halfrauds, but I'd rather give you a tenner

Bu99er !!!! He went offline whilst I was typing. He's avoiding me, I know it, I can feel it. Every time I come online he logs off, and the way he looks away when I catch his eye Oh well, I'm off to Friends Reunited to see if I can find another friend
