Angry CAR TAX

Just got my renewal reminder for a tax disc
On the paper states 6 months = £165
12 months = £300

In reality the greedy government have hiked this up and its now changed to

6 months = £220
12 months = £400

Doesn't count for classics. Classics are taxed on engine size not emissions. Mine was £180 for 12months.

This really makes me despair of this place.

The roads are sh1te and now they want a lot more..... Pick on the easy targets and then throw millions at a failed Child support and other beaurocratic money pits that are a waste of space....

People work hard a for a little luxury and on one hand we're having to defend against thieving scumbags who nick your stuff and the other the Government who tax the crap out of hard working folk...

This is disgusting, to think we have to pay that much tax.

We only have ourselves to blame though, if none of us paid road tax, what would the police/government do about it? Nothing they couldnt possibly fine us all.

We should all stand up as a nation as they do on the continent, they would not stand for such high fuel/tax etc.

Last year the government collected £43.5bn in transport related taxation, that's £120m a day. If only we could muster the *****, the unity and the selflessness to drag our apathetic ***** into gear and deny them some of that cash. It wouldn't take much as long as it was by enough people to start them worrying. Even if we all just stopped our cars for 1 hour at a given time on a given day, they tax loss would be IRO £5m, but the total cost of lost man-hours, delays and disruption would multiply that. A little anarchy is needed in this country, but the "I'm alright Jack attitude" of the average Brit means it will never happen and will just get worse. With no political alternative we are doomed as a nation, we may as well live under a dictatorship, at least that has *****, rather than our choice-less apathetic democracy.

What would happen if say for one day everyone in the country 'downed tools' and stayed at home? Didn't use the car, didn't go out and didn't spend any money. Imagine if this was done for a week. That would give them something to think about. Anarchy isn't needed, peaceful protest would suffice. I know there are practicalities and problems that would arise but as a protest it would be 'quite' effective.

It would be very effective, even just one day a week, say a Wednesday as they're a crap day anyway But getting even 5% of people to tow the line would be damn near impossible in this selfish, arrogant, ignorant, apathetic, luddite society

With the highest density of beaurocrats and CCTV cameras in the world, I see that we would all get "taxed" for our protests even if the paperwork took a while to sort out....

DunxC

P.S> I don't work hard, shouldn't I pay less tax ?
