Any mechanics in the WYIOC?!?!?!
As title, my ever reliable shed of a Polo decided to cut out on the way to work this morning
Been running fine up until now, started first time this morning then stalled coming off a roundabout. Its now abandoned about 1/2 mile from my house
Fuel is reading 1/4 of a tank and I just stuck another fivers worth in, so don't think its that. Got power, and its turning over, but not firing up.
Does anyone have any idea what to look for? Or know of someone to tow it to a garage to sort?
Flipping VW's . . . knew I should have got a Pug as a roundabout
(edit - car is in Ossett / Dewsbury area)

Obviously you need three things for it to run, fuel, air and a spark. The air usually takes care of itself. Pop a lead off and make sure you're getting a spark. That narrows it down to fuel. Could be the pump, injectors, filter or pipes. Report back your findings and we'll see if we can sort it.
Could Zak or Drew be of any help ?

Thanks to Paul and Scott for popping over this afternoon to take a quick look. Did'nt manage to get it going, but Paul kindly stuck it on the trailer and got it back to mine. Just deciding whether to get it looked at, or cut my losses and flog it as is on ebay.
Paul, if I do get it looked at, will give James a call, cheers for the number

what year is your polo and what motor? if its the older one check your rotor arm on your distributor, they have a tendancy to crack. if thats fine then pull the distributor alltogether and check the timing marks, again they have a tendancy to slip with age.
If its a newer car with coilover plug packs if one has blown ( look for a crack ) it can send them all out...
Just some idea's....
