Remember folks....

6.40am The Brickworks, Driglington, just off J.27 M62.

7am The Trading Post (aka Whitwood Inn (I think)), just off J.31 M62.

7.30am Ferrybridge Services, M62.

Petrol stop at Tesco (99RON) and Shell (V-Power) in Scnuthorpe at approx 8.15am.

Hopefully at the track by 8.30-9am at the latest for payment, briefing and fun, fun, fun.

Everyone please remember your crash helmets.

Remember to over-inflate your tires, +4-6lb for wet and +8-10lb for dry weather, depending on vehicle and personal preference.

Check your oil and water, and keep checking periodically throughout the day.

After each track session, use the perry roads to cool brakes, and do not use the handbrake when parking for 10+ minutes.

Leave the engine to idle for at least 2 minutes before and after each run.

Default NO SHELL V-POWER IN SCUNNY!

IMPORTANT NOTE!

I have just been to scnuthorpe shell on Ashby Road (by the look of your map this is the one you usually use?) and they have NO V-POWER! I didn't stop to see when they are getting some in but went to Tesco and they have 99ron on all pumps ok. There is another shell in scunny if you took a slight detour (think directions should be on shell website?) but unsure if they have any in? They may get a delivery overnight but thought it was just worth mentioning, so maybe best to fill at Tesco?

See you all tomorrow

Dan

Price on the day.

With 30 cars confirmed the price will be £35 for non-members, and £30 for WYIOC members.

Looking forward to a fun and safe day, and a couple of tasty burgers

Oooh, another nugget of information. Anyone making their own way there please watch your speed. The N. Lincs Police and (s)Camera Pratnership are very vigilant and often have patrols out, especially on the M180. The main convoy will be adhering to all limits en-route.

I know they gave me 3 points and a £60 fine. I was so so lucky I was on the slow down.

Big thanks to all who came and made this as good a day as all the previous Blyton's. It's you lot coming that makes it fun, so long may it continue. Special thanks to the Gazeebo crew for feeding and watering everybody, and the pit-kids marshaling the track entrance. I hope we can convince a few more Scooby owners to come along in future as this day was always intended to be for club members to learn about their cars and develop their abilities, and at a fraction of the cost of normal trackdays.

PS - Did anyone leave a red Arai helmet behind ?
