Ive heard this guy wants you to do some stickering for him Sticky and he wants Bullitt to clean it for him but remember bubbles will be seen with a microscope and analised and every speck of muck will be counted
VxrMarcs 3 month Nurburgring Detail... - Detailing World
Imagine when he has to clean it when he gets to a show??? He'd have to camp there for 2 days just to clean it

I'm not one for jealousy, nor mindless vandalism, but I felt an overwhelming desire to key every panel on his car I'm sorry, but a car is a driving machine to me, and although I like my driving machine to be clean and shiny, that guy is way, way over the edge. Reverse osmosis water and Evian FFS. One bit I found weird was that he pried off the badges to ensure he could get it perfect around them, risking damage in doing so, but then he just taped around the side-repeaters which pop off via a spring clip I also liked the justification of his hard work on his previous car and the PX value, not accounting for the probable £47k of detailing products and 26,000 hours spent. I wonder if he's got a girlfriend I would have wet my pants and fallen off my chair if I'd read on past the 1st page and he described with 100's of photo's how a 38 tonne truck had crushed it like a beer can the first day he drove it !

Dont worry guys im only joking, imagine though doing any work at all on this car, it would be rediculous the come back coz theres no such thing as a PERFECT car to that degree!!! Not anything practical anyhow

I remember his Blue Astra VXR a few months ago. To retort to Dave's post, I'm into car cleaning, that's not a secret, but I like to look after the things I have, regardless of what they're for, a car is meant for driving, so what? I also want it to look its best, I've spent a lot of money on it and I want it to show and getting compliments because it looks good for its age is something I'm proud of.
That said though even I think this guy is on the wrong side of obsession with the cleaning, his (then) brand new Blue VXR was stationary for the first 2 weeks of ownership while he got it detailed . Even people on detailing world gave him some stick for that.

Rich, I'm not averse to a bit of detailing myself. Always wash with 2 buckets, lambswool mitt, waffle and MF towels with reputable products. Twice a year a full clay, seal and wax, a quick refresh once or twice between. A normal wash is about an hour, maybe every fortnight or for special occasions. The full spring/autumn treatment is usually 6-8 hours. That guy is obsessive beyond any level of common sense, and he probably plays it up knowing the attention it gets him.

he,s also a poseur notice how most of the shots feature himself with just a small portion of the car showing. that look of pure concentration when examining the 0.5mm diameter paint spot is amazing. and removing 2 microns of paint to get rid of a "deep" scratch.
can,t fault him for his dedication though, i wonder if he still lives at home with his mum?
