B11yton bLAST
Sat 22nd Nov 2008
As mentioned on the previous thread, Blyton Park is to close in its current form and under its current ownership, and we have been offered one of the last events to be held there. So, get your names down for the 11th and LAST WYIOC trackday at Blyton Park.
PayPal are now letting me have access to my funds, so if anyone wants to pay a deposit then it's £21 (£20 deposit, £1 to cover PP fees) to the usual place.... david watson ok AT yahoo DOT com (no spaces and put in the '@' and '.'). If the event fills (35 places) then the last person signed up shall make way for anyone paying a deposit. Venue rental fee to be split equally between all those there on the day at the 8.30am briefing. Full details as last time, see HERE (please read to be sure you know what to expect, where, how much and the legal standpoint).

As always I shall amend this list. Failure to show on the day inflates the price for everyone, so please, be fair and show true commitment if you intend to go. If you have the slightest inkling that a shopping trip to Ikea with the missus will be more fun, then don't put your name down and then let everyone down later. When I know roughly how many are coming I shall confirm the probable final price, but it will be around the usual £25-40.
On a final note, I'd like to say how proud I have been to arrange these days and how much I have enjoyed seeing others having so much fun. I wish it weren't coming to an end, and I shall be doing some furious Googling over the next few months to try and find an alternative. Here's to a safe and fun LAST BLAST !

Breighton ? Used as a stage rally venue ?
Then there is the old airfields at Driffield and Leconfield, plus a maybe for Manby and the like ?
Sadly I lost my "connection" at BAe at Brough, easy pickings if we "swept up after" LOL

Proud too right...
The Last Blast
David you should be proud too mate, over the years you've done us all proud not just yourself mate.
always professionally put together full safety briefings, far too many organizational things that go on behind the thread to list.
But yes mate proud you should be

I can't make this one due to a family holiday but I hope this day runs as well if not better than all previous day (let it rain for the last couple of hours at least!!)
Thanks again Dave for all the trips to Blyton and as detailed elsewhere I hope another venue can be found.

Pay CASH in full on the day.
PayPal have been messing me about since the last one so I can't be arsed collecting deposits. This last time I want to just trust people will show up and just sort it all out on the day, so NO DEPOSITS ! Cheers.

Shame it's closing - gutted. I've had some great days at Blyton, plenty of laughs and I've met some great people over the last 4 years. A huge thanks to Dave/ Scoobynet for organising it all and letting me bring my Golf(s) to what is (or was) primarily a Subaru track day.
And yes, I'll be there for the last one

Just got PM about this event (thanks jon c). Shame to hear rallydrive is closing.
Will try to come (in my red golf gti) if I have time. The car needs some work, we are currently having an extension at home + am really busy at work (the joys of being a heating engineer once the weather turns cold!)
Would be a shame to miss the last blast but if I can't make it as a driver with the golf then I will definatly pop up for a bit to watch/blag a passenger ride!

Getting Close !!!
lol i love the guess's they gave me a giggle, when i said big, i ment engine size not the actual size lol, although i got to say i dont blame you for those guess's cuz i suppose i may have gained a reputation turned up in some rather large not very aproprate cars and the cheekyness n guts to come in a rental car the last two time, "legacy estate first time and a brand spanky 08 german tank merc C class 220 RENTAL CAR from AVIS (big thanks to avis ) but the merc did have a sport button tho and the legacy had a POWER button both were really effective buttons
But thankfully you wrong bulletproofbob
sco8bystu your very close with guessing 200sx but its not a 200sx
if you really want know will tell you, by private message, or a supprise for the day
