Can't find a price online for a "XX"1 plate, but believe me, they aint cheap.

Maybe it was donated by some kind soul, who knows?

Just checked on S71CKY

This was £7500 when I bought my plate, it's now (4 years later) £11795
(Didn't pay anything like that for mine BTW )

Then again, these things are worth what someone is willing to pay for them I suppose.

it is pretty sickening to think they argue over paying firefighters more salary but they'll splash out on crap like this that isnt needed!

Hope that that picture was taken by a passenger, or the vehicle was stationary, with the hand brake applied and the ignition turned off...

Dazza has said pretty much the same thing this morning.

I reckon there's a good couple of year's firefighter's salary gone into it.

F1 - Essex's First Number.

The Registration Number F1 has now been sold by Essex Council after the previous failed attempt a couple of years back (when they sold the reverse combination of 1F).

F1 has now taken the lead as the UK's most expensive vehicle registration, selling privately for £375,000 plus VAT (£440,625).

The new owner is a delighted Afzal Kahn from Bradford, a custom car automotive designer and business tycoon, who has had the registration transferred onto his slightly cheaper Mercedes-Benz Mclaren SLR (as you do!). It was transferred off Essex Council's Volvo S80 used by the council chairman.

Mr Khan is a keen Formula 1 fan, who is looking forward to placing the registration on his soon to be launched Range Rover Cosworth.

The proceeds from the sale are going to charity.

Did some Googling..... Grahams Fire Page West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue on the World Stage | West Yorkshire : Incident Images : Videos and News
This was the first Volvo prime mover with CSU pod (J792 GJX) This prime mover now has the registration WY1 which was taken off the Fire Service coach when it was withdrawn from service.

Saw this today outside St Michaels Snooker Club.

Big, bulky, stuck out like a sore thumb.
