Any one clued up on fitting ariels or stuff like that,,,,
Had an ariel fit last year to support two freeview boxes, one upstairs and one downstairs ,now have cable downstairs and removed the free view box from upstairs,but last night went to plug Samsung LCD with freeview installed ,in and no signal found check ariel connection is what it said.....
I have decorated since i had ariel fitted and took ariel wire apart to burrow into wall and extend think i may of buggered it...
Wondering if i could just take another spur off ariel on roof and back through wall and into my tv...
Was gunna have a moochup ladders and have a look , but not best person up a set of ladders....
Any help much appreciated....

Are you sure you spliced it in good when you extended it assuming you did, the inner cable and out must be seperated and equally joined up to plug with good seperation and contact to the metal end ?
may save a trip up the ladders, or send sarah up just make sure if she falls she does not black her eye

Cheers Mick, it's just the same as when guy put it from outside to inside,he left me about 3 metres,all i've done is bury it in wall and take end off and push through some wood and re put end back on,,,,
Took it all apart again tonight and put back together right tightly ,but still "No channels found no signal check ariel connection".....

When you take the end off there is a copper wire in the centre surrouned by plastic then copper wire around the outside are these seperated so that the out cable touches the outer of the plug and the centre cable is sticking out through the hole in the (plug end)
