Hi matey
hope your all doing well.
There does come a time when sensible and practical is the call of the day, and a child on the way is probably one of those times.
You know you will miss it but hey look on the bright side in about 16 years you can get something less sensible again
good luck with it mate, hope to catch up soon

I know how your feeling mate, just waiting for tax renewal to come in the post I'm expecting it to be £400. If i goes up next year the tax will be more than the insurance. only good thing is petrol is coming down but i expect before long it will go back up.

I can see your point from an economical point of view, but both my scoob and my evo had/have more room than many cars Ive owned in the past, the pram flys into the boot with no hassle, even with a rear strut brace, and in the back there is loads of room.
I bought my 1st scoob 1 week after our daughter was born, and thats all she's been driven around in. Im lucky as y Evo is registed PLG which means cheaper road tax, but with the extra money you'd only spend it on somehting else....
Keep the car mate, or sell up, buy a cheap diesel runaround and get a nice minted classic, life's too short to stop doing what you like (owning a performance car) apart from being un economical, its perfect in every way as a family car.
Everyone seems to hit the panic button when the missus gets up the duff, think straight, its not as bad or costly as you'd be led to believe.

Cant justify the costs at all unfortunately, not with wanting a bigger house etc soon.
Mine goes wednesday.
As rich says, flis has got a wagon but the boot for an estate car is not that big compared to others and the dog is already cramped in there and not stopped growing yet.
Have considered keeping the wagon but nothing is decided yet.
After all im only 24 so plenty of time to get something else

i flogged my scoob to buy a house, and i didnt end up buying the house...... gutted!!!! ended up with a £100 rover DERV... does well for travelling but its a shed.. moral of the story... dont make any harsh decisions, or even worse, mistakes... i had the scoob when kyle was born, and as a previous member wrote, scoobs are more than a capable family car.... they can be economical aswell if your only using them as a run a round... i wish i had the scoob still, but things in life happen for a reason! everyone will stand by you what ever you decide mate

SOLD...........
Have stripped it down first tho so have a few bits to sell seperately.
Will miss it but couldn't justify skinning myself on the insurance anymore when we are wanting a bigger house etc.
Will be back with something else before long tho
