Default down on power

I had my car on the dyno at AET last week and it only made 165 at the wheels i think it should be around 210 which is about 260 at the crank . It's a 2002 wrx with ppp and a k&n panel filter, i serviced it the weekend before after the abuse it got on the recent dales run . Has anybody got any idea why i would be down so much power, i haven't noticed a drop in power since i bought it and the cel light hasn't come on at all. I've got the certificates to prove that it has ppp fitted, it's done 71K and i run it on vpower . Is there anyway of checking if the map is ppp using romraider or similar.

Thanks for your help in advance

Dave

Clutch slip ? Would have been obvious even on a hub dyno ? imho....

Blocked fuel filter ? but she isn't running weak !

What gear were the runs done in ?

Each Dyno will give a different response.

Andy and Ellie's hub Dyno remove all doubt about tyre slip and how tight it's tied down.... What did Andy or Ellie say?

it was run in 4th gear and the clutch didn't sound like it was slipping and she is running rich, which explains why i'm only getting 20ish mpg

Andy and Ellie weren't there but Andy Nicholls who did the run said i was throwing fuel away as it was running rich and the K&N panel filter wasn't that good.

I've got feeling that it is on the standard wrx map, i am going to ring subaru up tomorrow and check that the ppp certificate is genuine.

Any one with re-mapping software from Ecutek should be able to tell you I think, as Prodrive used Ecutek to produce the PPP..... but I may be wrong !

Also try to find out what boost a PPP runs as standard as yours is @ 1.15 bar.

DunxC

P.S. If you want an extra 20 bhp you can make me an offer on my exhaust system !
