Stig Johnqvist - The Excursion Pictures
John's happy to forgo his pride and for us relive his excursion into the North Yorkshire countryside...
A bumpy single track being 'attacked' with aplomb... one offside wheel on the damp verge and...... 180 degrees later and 20ft down a small incline, and he's reliving Subaru's tractor history by ploughing up a small section of the moors.
Only a little pride dented....
Everyone else was keeping a safe distance in case it erupted into a fireball... (OK, artistic licence, but I needed something to add a little 'edge')
John got in to start reversing procedure, but the famous 4wd and a heavy right foot couldn't get him out of this one....
'AA' Dunx arrives with a perfect, karabina'd towing rope.
Some good looking dude helps out....
Some more heavy right foot...and a tug from Dunx (This is a family forum! Pictures available on request......)
A bit more...
Job done...
Small crowd gathers to take the pi55.. I mean see if he's OK...
Crowd helps remove 1.56 Tonnes of peat from the wheels...
Jr seems to be shaking loose some skid marks of his own.. or starting off his rendition of the 'The Birdie Song'...
I've just noticed how neatly and perfectly that tow rope is being looped...ready to be stored.... perfectly no doubt.
John undoes the 180 and he and Jr. survey the pirouette...
Just one of those things that these events throw up every now and again... This is what makes them fun and more importantly... a little exciting.
John, thanks for being a top bloke and for sharing mate...
