As was planned for last year, but cancelled due to appalling weather.

Location TBC, but would be either the West coast for a stunning sunset, BBQ, drinking and kipping on t'beach and with a day in the Lakes thrown in for good measure, or East coast with all of the above but a stunning sunrise replacing the sunset, and the NY Moors replacing the Lakes.

Date TBC, as June 21 is the longest day then Sat 20th would be the best bet, but this coincides with round 3 of the SSC, so a weekend either before or after would perhaps be more appropriate.

Just gauging interest at the mo, if I get told to politely (or otherwise) 'koff then I shall do so.

We are away in Newquay, so we will endeavor to get to the beach just the wrong one

 

A decent response so far, so to look at some dates...

Having checked with the o/h about her shifts the weekend of the 20/21 would be best for us, BUT I have to be at Scoobysprint on the Sunday to fit the usual stickers, so how about setting off as soon as possible on Friday 19th (When everyone has finished work and got themselves ready) with a view to getting to the same beach we went to on the Coast-to-coast. Parking is right next to the beach, and it's right on the very edge of the Lake District. Aim to get there before sunset, light a fire, fire up the BBQ, and have a laugh. Then we can spend as much or as little time as we want in the Lakes on Saturday.

The date was only a suggestion, and can be easily altered to suit the majority. How about a couple of weeks later, say early / mid July?

It would certainly make things less frantic if we can go through on a Saturday rather than rushing (and possibly missing) the Friday sunset.
