went to cat and fiddle
well me and the missus decided to go for a drive this afternoon and thought we'd go to the 'cat and fiddle'.i've never been before and have heard from others it's suppose to be a good road to drive down, but has had a quite alot of accidents on it.
with this in mind and it being such a nice day we thought we'd have a steady drive over and see for ourselves.well what can i say,the roads are fantastic as i'm sure most of you know we came off m1 and through buxton to a537 and was a nice drive so decided to stop at cat and fiddle take a few pics and get a bite to eat before carring on to macclesfield.
after us grub took some piccies so here they are not very good but you get the idea
but then tradgedy
two bikers hit each other head on going round the corner, this is a horrible thing to witness and never really hits home when you hear/see it on the news
at this time its unsure of the bikers condition.hope they make a full recovery...

If organising a club run there, take care. The road now has a 50mph limit and is heavily policed at certain times (weekends, bank hols etc). They used to use a plane to observe the road on busy days, but I read in MCN recently that they are trialling induction loops in the road which report the size (bike, car or truck) of vehicle and its speed back to a police control and patrol units are forewarned of your actions. Unmarked cars AND bikes are often used there too. The road is officially classed as the most dangerous in Britain, and yet if you remove motorcycle accidents from the statistics it is amongst the safest !

You're not trying hard enough then ! They have a 1 inch patch of tread touching the road surface compared to the four foofing great tyres and AWD you have. I was passing bikes like crazy along Ribblesdale a few weeks back in my mates Scoob, much to his entertainment They'll monster you on the straights, but through the bends you should annihilate them, especially if it's wet or the surface is dodgy in any way.
