Track day
I would wait until we do another wyioc blyton event, you will need a set of tyres(part worns maybe) for the day but well worth it, cost is usually around £45 for the full day as against Elvie at £129, we have had some teriffic days there and I believe we are due another soon.

Hi there.
Yeah - I plan on attending Elvington this weekend
First time out on track in the Scoob (but many others under my belt!).
Heard Elvington is tough on the tyres though due to the surface so think some part worns aren't a bad idea to be honest!

That's an understatement on Elvington.
Don't get me wrong - it's a fab place to stretch your legs in relative safety i.e. loads of run off into fields rather than barriers.
The surface is very abrasive and switches at various parts. This makes it ideal for RWYB for traction...
Even if you over inflate your tyres to help you will still cook them if you drive at the max...

I disagree, I think for a first track day, elvington is a good place. Safe with run off and if its your first time I dont think you will destroy your tyres, I did two scooby sprints there this year and my tyres are still road legal on R compounds.

Well I'm booked in regardless
Agree - it's one of the safest tracks with tonnes of run off. Just dont go out straight away (ie whilst the big chunks of concrete are laying about!) and you should be fine
