Default West Yorkshire Detailing Day??

Hi Guys

just looking through previous posts and it seems you guys had a detailing day with "the detailer" where the cars were being clay bard and machine polished etc. along with paint correction.

any plans to have another day like this?

just looking at my car and the amount of swirl marks etc. are shocking and i'm not too good at detailing myself, so just wondered if any of you were up for a day?

or could recommend anyone in the area who would be willing to detail for some cash on weekend or something?

cheers

excellent work, its one thing i have never had time with.i like to keep my car looking clean and polished as much as poss.but it seems to take forever and that time could be spent doing something else.how long does it take you to do the full car.

It takes a fair few hours to do it fully.

The longest a car took was a full weekend from Friday evening to Sunday evening.

On average I spend about 8 - 10 hours on mine when I do it.

Can do though unless you have somewhere undercover (garage etc) for me to work then I wouldn't be able to work until the weather improves.

Default detailing

Hi Eddy,
Rich does a fantastic job as you can see with my car, he can do your car it in my unit if you get stuck, you can bring me the bonnet scoop over at the same time.

Cheers
Steve

Re Detailing / Paint correction demo day, I own a Car Valeting business based in Wakefield and this is something I'd like to bring to West Yorks having being involved in a similar day in North Yorks in conjunction with Swissvax some time ago.
I know Jonathan at JPW and I'm sure he'd love to be involved, the plan would be to bring together a group of people interested in the car care process, the idea being to demonstrate / discuss best practice in all areas of car care but focusing on detailing and paint correction.
Obviously the weather is a major problem at the moment even undercover it would be very difficult to demonstrate machine polishing let along the application of hard waxes to a large(ish) group of people, it’s to cold and artificial light isn’t the best.
So if there's enough interest why not look at organising something for later in the year when the weather is less of an issue and we have more chance of been able to demonstrate the processes involved in more temperate temperatures and in natural light.
A rough idea of numbers wishing to participate would be a good start to getting something organised, so if it’s something you may find useful please register your interest and we’ll see what can be done.
