Default May need some help this wkend

Hi Guy's

Finally got round to purchasing some new coilovers to replace my banging rear struts(05 STI).

I decided to go with the default BC units and after a closer inspection the quality/finish looks great so fingers crossed they work just as well.

I'm going to be fitting them over the weekend with some help from my Dad but what i may need is some advice on settings (ride height and camber).

What are peoples suggestions for a good starting point on ride height, i don't want it silly low just a nice balance of form and function.

Also going to move my rear arb onto the hard setting while i'm at it

1. Silly low looks very cool, try it...
2. Don't adjust the ARB till you are happy with the ride height, geometry and damping settings, IMHO.
3. I will check for John Felseads settings on my PC at home tonight.
4. Snow due any minute !

P.S. PM Frosti or Bren @ Apex for advice.

Arggh not considered Snow, suppose i will have to just take it really steady until i find a nice open space.

I'm sure some test runs will be in order once i have them on, if your up for it?

From JF himself

my setup is aimed at fast road use mainly, rather than out and out track use, so should suit you well.

camber is -1.8 degrees front, -1.6 degrees rear. Parallel toe rear, 0.5mm toe in front.

I cant alter ride height which is 380mm front, 352mm rear. The group N PWRC cars on tarmac setup run 364mm front, 344mm rear with a full tank of fuel onboard, so your setup is quite low for a road car and a bit nose low.

Tein suggestions are for 345 F & 340 R. IIRC

HTH

I'm sure i won't go too far wrong with TT, i'm only really after a fast road setup and a normal rate of tyre wear.

I'm sure once the weather gets better we can compare setups

Just got home from Track Torque, and I'm pleased to say the car feels even better.

The difference was obvious on the drive home especially going round the first wet roundabout, it felt like you could push it a bit more without instant under steer like before.

Probably regret saying this but i think i have the handling/feel spot on for road use and my style of driving

What to do next.....................................
