Default Problem with scoob

I've got a problem with the motor, last week the car almost ran out of petrol so I had to go to morrisons and put some normal unleaded in just to get me to the shell garage. Filled the car full to the brim with v power, but now it hesitates and judders and the fc commander says the injectors are only running at 50%. Any idea what I've done, what's it like when the maf goes? Oh and it's backfiring REALLY loud
Cheers Andy

Wonder if knock sensor is on its way out?

I take it when you say V-Power you just mean Morrisons Super Unleaded and not Shell V-Power?

Not even super just normal because that's all they had and only drove it 1 mile to fill it full of v power

i carnt see that putting a bit of normal unleaded in would do any damage to the car if driven carefully till you filled back up with vpower.the fault will probably be something that has just shown up and because you filled up with different fuel its making you think its something to do with the fuel.if the car is still drivable i would just run it around for a while nice and steady with the vpower in to get it all cerculated.has it thrown an engine management light up?

It always pulls fuel from the bottom of the tank...

But the movement of the car with less fuel in could stir up the gunk in the bottom ?

Just a thought, as mine did it once, and was O.K. once the tankful was used up...

No it's still doing it,it sounds ok when I'm going slow but it sounds like a bag of spanners when I put me foot down,it's just weird that it's started doing it when it was running out of fuel,I think it's gunk

What fuel pump is it? I heard somewhere that the Walbro has been know to suck the filter into itself. I have the filter off mine if you wanna try it? In fact I have both filters if you need to rule them out, you can try them.

Good luck, if you need to borrow the bits let me know. I would say back firing is ignition related though... Is it an orange Maf?

Massive thanks to jamie!! It just needed battery disconnecting to reset the ecu, also found out why it wasn't that powerful, the fc commander has 4 boost settings and it was on the first setting which is 1.0bar boost so put it to no.4 setting which is 1.35bar at 94% injector duty......f##k me it's fast now, must be close to the 350 bhp mark which it's suppose to be

It's got the standard vf23,haven't a clue what injectors it's got. All I know is it's got full de-cat system, uprated fuel pump, apexi induction and apexi ecu and commander. Not 100% it's 350 bhp but it's a damn site quicker than it was before. I'll find what it's running in a couple of weeks at scoobyclinic
