Default Anybody running Toyo T1R on newage ?

Still on the hunt for some tyres for the hawkeye, these toyo's can be picked up fairly cheap. 225 45 17 94Y

There Not bad,but the sidewall is abit too soft for my liking they were nice on a classic but I think the weight of the newage cars is a bit to much for them, have a look at the vredesteins ultrac sessantas which are superb on the newage impreza models in the wet and in the dry.SJ.

A bit too soft on the sidewall for a newage IMO, RE070 are leagues ahead but be careful what you do choose as there is a massive change coming soon with a lot of road going track tyres that are currently road legal which are going to be banned from road use due to new EU legislation(G rated on fuel economy) which includes all the Yoko AD08`s and AD08-r`s

RE070`s @ £85 each

Edited to add that the majority of Dunlop tyres will no longer be available too as they are closing down a factory X10` & 22`s etc...

I had T1Rs on my classic , I didnt like them, not enough feel and they gave me no confidence. Got Advans on at the moment as this was the only tyre the shop had that day and they feel very much the same as the T1Rs, not very good.
When i had a hawkeye couple of years ago it had the Vredstein ultrac sessanta all round and they were exellent. Then i put Goodyear eagle F1s on and they were exellent too. Both these were great on a newage, great feel for grip in all weather.

I didn't like them, the sidewall is like bubblegum and they squeak like pigs. As JC-R pointed out you get no feel (Subarus have bad steering feel anyway and with the T1Rs it becomes worse).

I really really hated them, very squishy squirmy feeling under the car.

Narrowed it down to RE070, the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta and toyo t1 sports.

Get the Sessanta's, very very good tyre for the £

Had T1R's on mine when I bought it, really crap in the wet/damp.
