Depends what model you got?? 225/40/18 will fit perfect on a newage, but on a classic you might rub the arches!! and on a hatch STi they will be to skinny!!!

Ive always run 225/40/18 on my newage Impreza's but was thinking of going 235/40/18 next time, but im running 9.5" wide wheels so I think they will catch my arches as I like the car to be quite low!!!

I'm running 225 40 18 r888's on my classic and they don't rub . It has taken quite a lot of work so they clear , even under hard braking , full compression etc. The higher profile is bound to cause issues though.
