Default Hawkeye WRX wagon brake upgrade

I have recently changed the pads and discs on my Hawk Wagon to EBC Vortex grooved discs and EBC yellow stuff pads. (standard subaru 4 pots) Although it does now stop much better than it did before there is still rather a lot of pedal effort needed to make them work..

I have thought about getting braided lines to help with this.
Fitted HEL lines to my old Vectra GSi and my Bike and been impressed. BUT they are expensive..
Any other brands I should consider or just stick with what I know and like?

Also will need brake fluid. noticed the filler cap has DOT3 on it but I assume I can use a good quality DOT4 ok?

thanks,
Fuzz

Will probably go with this http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-69377-gu...id-dot-51.aspx

Gets some good reviews and will be better than standard. Along with braided lines should do the job. just need to decide what lines.
I do not do track days so no need to spend a fortune on fluid in my eyes.
