Hi everyone just looking for some advice I've got a Subaru Impreza 1999 turbo 2000 running 240 bhp atm and looking to make it about 300 maybe 320 bhp but first I'm upgrading brake, suspension etc etc. so at about 300 bhp will this brake set up be ok:
I've got on my car atm 4 pot Subaru front calipers, both with all brand new pistons and caliper seals with Godspeed brake discs and also with Kevlar pads that Godspeed supplied for me.
And I haven't done nothing to the rears yet but my plan is to keep the single pot rear calipers but put brand new pistons and calipers seals with Godspeed brake discs and with the Kevlar pads again.
Also going to probably put braided hoses all the way round.
So will this be enough stopping power for the bhp I'm looking to run??
Thanks everyone

HI
It really depends on how hard you drive on the road , the kevlar pads are not recommended for track use , but can cope with quite a bit of fast road use , and as everyone drives differently on the road its hard to say if they if they are suitable for a certain HP.
I would say try them once the car has been tuned , and if you feel they are not coping change the front pads to a higher spec one
Cheers Ian

well i don't use my car for track use, and don't really do alot of fast road but since having your godspeed grooved discs and Kevlar pads on the front brakes seem to work really well even for fast road every now and then but my problem starts with the rear brake because i only have 1 pot calipers i can't decide whether to upgraded the rear discs and pads with godspeed grooved discs and Kevlar pads or to change the whole caliper to 2 pot for bigger brakes on the back which will probably cost a lot more then just changing the rear discs and pads.

does anyone else have any advice for the brake set up i'm looking to do??
I was also thinking for the rear 1 pot caliper to use the bluestuff pads that Godspeed supply but i didn't know whether that meant i'd also have to put the bluestuff front pads on aswell or will the Kevlar on the front still be ok to use?
Also are the bluestuff pads good for everyday use or just mainly track days??
