Default Brake disc advice

I currently have some Brembo brake pads/calipers, however my discs are starting to create quite a lip so thinking I will get some new discs.

What would people suggest as a good replacement?

I've been told to get some EBC discs, not very clued up when it comes to brakes.
Car is a 2005 WRX STI

Any advice would be great.

Cheers

Depending on budget I would definitely go with a set of two piece disc from performance friction, the best upgrade for the Brembo Caliper bar none, talk to Alyn of ASPERFORMANCE .SJ.

PF discs are very good if your budget allows.

Otherwise we can also supply one piece discs and fast road pads for very little money.

I don't need pads, they are almost new. Its just the discs I'm after. How much for all 4 corners of both sets you mentioned?
Cheers

If I was getting new discs I would replace the pads as well or I could lead to problems..

What problems? The brembos are only 6months old so I won't be changing them, it'll be a total waste

Your existing pads will be grooved from your old disks , ie not flat ,,, if you transfer those pads to new disks youll wear the disks unevenly from day one and never get to know their full potential

Matt mate there right, usually it's a change of both disc and pads, but if your pad has a lot of thickness (pad material) left you can use a emery cloth or sand paper and sand the pad surface down level so it's got a flat surface to match up with your new disc or if left as they are it can cause your disc to wear uneven and cause damage.SJ.

Hmm yeah that makes sense. I think I'll take them apart and see what the pads are like. Hopefully they are ok so they won't need changing.
