I have 52 plate bug wrx saloon , can any one tell me how I can find find out my rear disc size without removing it? I understand there's 2 sizes for this model

There is only one size for the WRX , 290mm with 170mm handbrake

Ok thanks are you sure there is only one size as ive been told by two different part dealers there is also 266mm rear discs fitted to some imprezas wrxs on a 02-52 plate? Can anyone confirm they are 100% they are 290mm before I order them?

266mm discs were fitted to the classic , and Jap import WRX's from 2001 onwards , if your car is a Euro spec car then it WILL have 290mm rear discs , if you have the 2 pot rear calipers with subaru logo on the side of them , they are 290mm discs.

I do know a bit about brakes on Subaru's lol

Yes thanks they must be 290mm I'm sure you know your stuff lol yes im sure I already shave these discs and pads u offer as last owner fitted front big brake conversion and sure the rears are Godspeed too.
