Hi Steve
Ours at that price are straight vain , we can also offer a curved vain disc at £349.50.
We have done some testing with a wind speed device with a disc spinning in our lathe and tested a lot of different discs , and found curved vain discs do not expel more air than straight , the straight vain discs actually had more air speed coming out of the outer diameter , some people seem to make a big issue that curved vain discs run cooler , not in my experience they don't , a curved vain disc is stronger as the vain is spread over more of the disc , but then if a straight vain disc is made properly then it will be strong enough for the job anyway , we have seen plenty of discs her for skimming to true them up inc PF and AP discs , so even the best names can have problems.
Hope this helps
Cheers Ian
