Currently have the standard 245/40 x 17" Sti 10 spoke wheels, with Tein lowering springs - and wanting to get some new 18"s (probably),
The current ones look a bit small and narrow (on the back), so what is the preferred size of wheel and tyre when moving to 18" (probably Rota's), ???
Wheel size ? 9J?
offset ? ET??
tyre size ?

don't want to get into arch rolling - just straight swap, and continue to use std calipers.

Also speedo reads 10% fast - is it worth going up a tyre size slightly to bring this more in line? or does that pose all sorts of other issues ?? not a big problem - just a bit annoying !

Standard 18's on hatches are 8.5 wide and normally 245/40/18 rubber (that's what I have). I don't know how wide you can go.
