AP CP5200 front setup, value?
I recently removed an AP CP5200 setup from my car and fitted the stock brakes.
Anyone be able to have a stab at what the value of the kit is worth on the used market?
Now, the discs and pads need replacing but we've obviously got the bells, calipers and the brackets too.
This setup was being used on my car with 308mm (or was it 304) discs. You can get different brackets and buy bigger rotors but to be honest they are awesome anyway.
Just deciding whether I keep them and get new rotors or flog them. Ultimately I'm trying to keep my Sti V6 until it goes up in value so realistically the standard brakes would be better on the car for eventual resale anyway I'm thinking?

You would get about £400-500 for them as rotors are about £300 and pads are between £130-190. Personally I would keep them on the car as its a sensible upgrade thats adds to the car rather than some mods that can be detract from the package.

£275 for discs and £134 for pads
That's to make the kit good as a 304mm set up
Not as popular as the 330mm set up so price as it stands could be between £350 to £450 as £400 needs spent on them

Yeah, I agree they lose value when you look at them as a kit. But you can buy the calipers separately so I doubt you'd get far by ringing up demon tweets and saying they aren't worth that much because I have to buy all the other parts. Some people out there may just be after callipers?

I guess it's pointless selling as a kit, maybe see what the calipers alone would go for then eBay the fitting kit and bells separately.
Are second hand bells worth anything? I dunno. The brackets are probably worth nothing as most people will want the biggest rotors they can squeeze under their wheels so they get max cool points.
And as for the size I actually quite liked the fact that they were not crazy size and more subtle behind a 17" wheel. They are still more than adequate for 95% of drivers. I was offered for to upgrade the disc size when I looked in to buying new rotors but I'd have replaced them with the same size, less weight too.

I had these on my Type R back in 2001. Awesome, even though they are only 308mm.
The pad are the same as the TVR Cerbera. But if you order them for the cerbera they are cheaper.
Also, I was told before I sold the car back in 2005, that wildwood 310mm discs can be used.

Personally I'd keep them on the car until you come to sell it, then you have the option of fitting the standard brakes and selling these separately or selling together.
If it's £775 for a new pair plus you'd need the bells which aren't cheap, I'd say they were worth at least £500, especially as they can fit behind any wheel.
