Default How to fit a 326mm Disc under a 4pot!

Hi,

I was looking at godspeeds 335mm kit. Has anyone tried the 326mm x 30 mm discs with this kit? I cant see why not the disc supplied is 335mm x 32mm.

Is the offset much different between newage and classic discs?

So basically, I would need to shim my caliper, make a bracket up and get suitable larger pads.

Not sure if it can be done but these disc dimensions should help...

DISCLAIMER! I take no responsibility for what you choose to do with your brakes, you do this at your own risk and personally, i'd just go for an engineered solution and whats known to work, you dont want to fck about with brakes.

Looking at the disc dims you need to space the caliper out by 15.5mm radially and shim it inboard by about 4mm. If you keep the standard 4 pot pads in the sumitomo "subaru" calipers you'll be missing the inner ~8mm of the 326mm.

As above, its your brakes and your risk. be careful!

I have fitted the below kit to my Hawkeye which JUST fits under the standard Subaru 17inch wheels, if that helps. I have had a stone trapped between caliper and wheel barrel and it scored all the way round.

Not much of an issue to make up the parts so!

The XJS/Aston Martin pad is what I have in mind for the bigger disc.

I debated the Aston pad based brake conversion but the pad sticks out far too much for me and it looks terrible. Reviews are good though. Good luck.

Thats a valid point. I have thought about this as it bugged me too, hence why I thought of using the 326mm disc. It might not be as noticeable to the eye once the pad is cut down to size
