Hello all
New to the site so apologies in advance if any rule is broken!

Looking for some new tyres for my classic JDM STI, for the OEM 16 inch alloys.
Currently running 205/50 was hoping to move to /55, as I personally think slighter bigger wheels would fit the arches better and I could do with a bit more comfort.
Has anyone done this and can you see any issues with it?
My other concern is that a tyre with a very round profile would make the care look a bit like a tractor! Can anyone recommend any tyre of this size with a more square profile?
Also does anyone know how wide I could go, I think current alloys are 6.5J...

I use 205/55 and 205/50 tyres alternately on my wife's Audi with 16" wheels. The 50s are winter tyres left over when I sold my classic. 55s are OEM size. I know the tyres are different make but I can't say I've noticed any difference in ride. 10mm difference in sidewall height is not much more than tread depth. Summer tyres are Goodyear Efficient Grip which I'm very pleased with bearing in mind the car is for general road use. I've used Goodyears on a number of cars and been very satisfied. They also feature well in the various tyre tests.

I'd like to know what the fit is with the biggest wheels..
