Doug, Micheldever tyres, just up the M3 near Winchester have just about the best prices/service in the south, highly recommend them.
Toyos seem to be the best over-all tyre these days, good price/grip/wear, won Evo magazines trye test last month.

The Toyos didn't win the tyre test. I think that they came third behind Continental (surprisingly) and the new Goodyear F1 tyre.
I had the old Goodyear F1 on my MY98 and found it a great wet tyre. Possibly not the best dry tyre but I think the new version addresses that weak point.
I now have an STi7 and am certainly going to change to the new F1 when OEM Bridgestones are worn out (which are incidentally very poor in the wet).
Oh and finally avoid SO3's - they did very badly in the EVO test.

Changed to Toyo (from Bridgestone SO3's) on Saturday and now that they are bedded in they are better than the SO3's ever were... in every way. Totally transformed the car.

I put on the new Goodyear FI GSD03 a few weeks ago. Superb tyre, and would recomend it. Feels like the old S02's! Almost went for the Toyo's but was persuaded otherwise in the end.
