Replace rear disks and pads?
#1
Hi,
I've got a 98 turbo that needs new rear discs (disks??) and pads, is this an easy job for a semi-ish skilled home mech? I know, if you've gotta ask.....
Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,
It's quite easy. My only tip is to make sure you loosen the handbrake shoe adjusters to make removing the combined disc/drum assembly easier. To do this you need to click the adjuster (access through the backplate after removing the rubber bung) up or down the loosen the shoe adjuster. You need a fairly long flat bladed driver and a good lamp to do this easily. When you refit the new discs adjust the adjuster unit the drum locks then loosen three clicks.
Regards,
Ian
