Hey, anything is better than Avon lol!
The Toyo's are a good tyre, bargain for the price but its a shame you never had the opportunity to try Bridgestone SO2 PP's now these are the dogs danglies

Which Toyo's did you get?

Another thread on the Toyo Proxes T1-S doesn't seem as favourable.

I have done 16,000 miles on the Toyos (on an Audi S3 - 225x45x17). I reckon they should be good for another 10,000 miles - assuming no punctures etc.

I have had Bridgestone S-02s, and rate the Toyos above the S-02s.

my view is that the T1-S and the SO2's are a bit expensive if you are going to be doing trackdays but very good for the open road. one problem I have is that I have 3 good SO2's on the car right now and one duff one. i.e., typical impreza, a duff left front. That was from 34 miles of track driving. The so2's were overheating so I had to back off a bit because they would screech at even the slightest bend.

you can always tell imprezas with so2's or t1-s because they make a death awakening low pitched screech as they corner on the track.

So, because Bridgestone have discontinued the model, I will have to buy 4 new tyres and the other part worn ones join the ever growing tyre heap.

this pisses me off. I'm sure they do this on purpose simply to make more profit by enforcing redundancy into their products.

I'm thinking of Toyos (215/45-17) for the my01 (road wheels) and may go to F1 eagles for trackday wheels... but ideally, I'd like to have the same allround in case I break more wheels whilst on the track.

Thumbs up

After much deliberation I have purchased new TOYO's for my new Scooby Imp (which came with Avons!).

Bought them online at www.blackcircles.com (upon recommendation of a fellow scoobynetter), saved 60 quid.

The appraisal;
These tyres are the best set of performers I have had since my Yokohama's on my old Nova!!!
Stick like stink, and no immediate signs of wear unlike the Yoko's which where gone after a few hard cornering sessions!

Any of you a few thousand miles down the road on TOYO's? Are they still in one piece or worn to slicks?
