Question

Is there a seal kit available for the rear calipers (single pot MY97), and if so are the pistons easily removed? I recently had both calipers off and noticed one was very stiff in operation (reason for slight squeal on that wheel), and the rubber boot wasn't in very good condition.
Will it be cheaper/better to replace the calipers entirely? If so where can you get them?

Regards,
Leeroy

I reconditioned all of my calipers on an MY97. Seal kits are available from your Subaru dealer only. (As far as I am aware).
You'll need 1 kit for each caliper - The seal kits come with all new rubber components, grease etc etc.
Its a fiddly job which took me a couple of days to do properly (Calipers fettled and painted and braided lines fitted)but it was worth it in the end.
I re-used my seals as they were in good condition, but i had to buy one rear caliper servicing kit because I tore one of the rubber seals.
You could buy ready reconditioned ones or after market replacements (obviously more cost)- Not sure how after market calipers would affect the front/rear braking balance though.

Good luck.
