ABS Light on? Just happened my manual at home :(

My ABS red warning light has just come on while I was driving, my manual is at home, is this a sensor in the pads? a low brake fluid warning or something more interesting (costly).

My ABS light has com on in the past and it turned out to be the Aternator, as it wasn't producing sufficient for the ABS......

Get it checked. It's never happended to me but from what I've read here it usually turns out to be a faulty sensor. But as I said, get it professionally checked.

My ABS warning light came on last week. Rang dealership and it's going in thursday. Means that ABS is not working but brakes are as per normal i.e all four are in normal operation apart from no ABS.
Tested theory last night and sure enough no ABS - upside is that braking appears to be much improved! Great feel and seemingly more power............
