Just fitted front DBA gold discs (slotted/drilled), Ferrodo DS2500 pads all around, braided hoses & Dot 5.1 fluid to my STi7 UK.

Discs didn't come with any recommended bedding in procedure, nor is there any advice on DBA website.

Can anyone do me a massive favour and suggest a sensible bedding in proceedure for these discs. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

All i can suggest is use them gently for a couple of hundred of miles, then stamp on them at your will

with new discs normal recomend is at least 100miles steady braking, then gradually build the use/heat of the disc (probs another 100miles for road cars) - after this use at will..........
this prevents "thermal shock" to the disc and allows discs that are not heat treated as std to acclimatise to their role!!
alyn - as performance

Have a look at the 'stoptech' white papers.

Thanks for the advice guys, all sounds very sensible to me.

Sounds like a pretty comprehensive bedding procedure on Stoptech website, god knows where I can do 10 off 60 to 5mph stops with progressive stopping force, with cooling time between, on a public road?!

If anybody was watching this procedure they'd think I'd nicked the car but couldn't drive it properly or I was completely p1ssed.

Sounds like I need to pop out late tonight when the City Airport dock roads are v.quiet!

Floyd,

I was a bit slack with postings during my first couple of years. Most of mine have been fairly recently though, so I'm doing my best to catch up.

Cheers
