What size disks?

The disk size is dictated by the amount of clearance the caliper needs (how bulky it is).
You can get a 335mm disk to fit with std calipers I think that's the biggest with 17" wheels!

what difference do they make?
Excellent. Two track days with no fade and brilliant retardation. Very little wear too.
