Mintex 1144 Pads help

Help!
Just got some Mintex 1144 pads and Maxtorq discs for my '92 WRX.
Took the front pads off and they are wider than the mintex ones supplied (the backing plates won't even fit). Can anyone help??

if you mail me the part no.s i'll look into it for you.........sounds like you've the wrong pad!
