Halfords are selling the above fitted with Toyo's and a healthy 20% discount off the usual price at the moment cashing in at around £900 for a set of 17's with tyres. This seems to be a quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else I have seen (£1080 ish at performacealloys.com with tyres, also Toyos, and I think around the £860 mark with no tyres at scoobyworld). Can anyone shed some light on tyre sizes though?? On the 17" wheel they are offering 205/40's or 215/45's, I don't know a great deal about what fits which wheels and what doesn't but I do know the wheel will not grow a centimetre in width just because the tyre has so will this (215/45) still be a good fit or not. Also, is it better to get the lower profile tyre for the Impreza (mines an MY00)on 17's or would the 45 be ok, I wondered if they might catch the arches (I have Eibach springs so a lowered ride of around 20mm as well) I know this should really be in the wheels section but I have informed you all of a good deal and I might get a quicker response here???? Ta......

Ideal size for MY00 on 17s is 215/40. The 45 might rub, but one or two people seem to get away with it. The Toyo are available in 215/40, as are the other favourite of this board, the Goodyear F1.

Did you check availability of these?

There seems to be a bit of a shortage at the moment - something to do with a new process at the O.Z factory.

I have been told the superlegarras are in the discount range and could not find out if they have them available until tuesday as their supplier is closed until then, he assured me they were, I'll keep you posted.

Daily mail has an *extra* 10% voucher off the 20%. Apparently they will be accepted together.

So 28% in all.

I asked about Superleggeras in my local Halfords. They said advised don't bother - the wheels aren't available anyway. They cited severe supply problems (few wheels passing manufacturing quality tests) and estimated a 4-month delivery period.

Hmmm . . . I saw also saw this whilst rushing thru Halfordds - not sure when the offer ends??

Quite like the Superturismos anyway - anyone got any pics of these, pref on a silver classic?

What width wheel do I go for for a MY00 - 7 or 8??

Cheers

Bah - extra 10% voucher in Mail was for Sunday only. Checked the signage in a local Halfords - says ALL wheel/tyre packages.

Checked my local branch - it does say "all wheel/tyre packages" but when you check out the display cards you will see next to the Superleggera "excluded from offer" . Academic really as there aren't any available in 18 except Anthracite. Halfords quoted me around £1500 for a set.......definitely no discount!!
