Currently have standard sliding caliper on MY96WRX. Upgrade is essential, to options I can afford, 325mm kit with new Girling calipers or 335mm kit with second hand 4 pots (if I can find them). First option is probably a few quid cheaper and has all new parts so is my favorite. Any view on the above?

Either option will probably be just fine for almost any type of use, if you're hard on brakes, and are thinking of going on track, get the grooved only discs, the drilled ones tend to crack for the holes if used very hard, other than that, enjoy, oh, and if you haven't worked it out for yourself, you'll be needing 17's to clear them!

Just a thought andrew, If your gonna source second hand Subaru 4 pots, they'll cost between 250 and 300 (poss a bit cheaper if lucky - if you can find them!!!). With the price of Godspeeds 335mm big disc kit this takes you up to around 850 - 900 mark.

However Godspeed have a 325mm big brake kit with brand new BREMBO 4 pots that costs 895 (ie about the same). I know which 4 pots i 'd prefer. I was gonna buy second hand 4 pots with the 335mm kit until i was directed to the Brembo kit from Godspeed.

So this kit will be brand new too, but i dunno how much the Girling kit is.

PS - Dunno what kit is like. Ive not fitted it yet. Sometime next week i think.

Cheers
Dave

Question

Anyone know if Ian does the Brembo calipers to fit in place of the Girling ones that he also does, and at what price, as I already have the discs...............
