Hi,

Need to change my tyres in the next two days. Was planning to get F1 GSD3s because of the recommendations on here, but can't work out if my tyre size is available on the Goodyear site.

I have the OZ 18"s and my current PZero Rossos are 225/40/ZR18.

Does anyone know what "XL" stands for on here:

http://www.goodyear.co.uk/services/t...e_f1_gsd3.html

Seems like their data's crap, cos I can't work out if the GSD3 is available in my size or not

Any help appreciated - got very little time to sort this out!

Cheers,
Gareth

Question

Garath,
"XL" = extra load
"LL" = light load
In the absence of either marking, infers Standard load tyre.
The load index indicates the maximum load a tyre can carry at the speed indicated by its speed symbol.
Hope this helps
Steve

You CAN get GSD3's in 225/40 x 18 (I have em on my 01 WRX and am pretty impressed with em!!)

Nick

Edited to say are you in the Cheshire area as Jim Jeffries Tyres sells em in Warrington (I paid roughly £125 per tyre inc metal valves and caps)

Thanks guys,

Selecta Tyre in Macclesfield are certain they can get GSD3s in my size and I'm getting them fitted tonight...

Nick - was that price inclusive of VAT? I'm paying £125+VAT per corner. Didn't really have the time to shop around...

Cheers,
Gareth

Thanks Nick - that's a good price. Another 24 hours and I probably could have haggled them down a bit. No worries - tyres are fitted now (and feeling good).

Cheers,
Gareth
